Dear Friends of Sunbury Manor,
The October Gala at Sunbury Manor was a first-draft, an experiment, a learning opportunity. As such, the primary conclusion that came of it is that each and every attendee was a delight who contributed so much to the overall experience. The second most prominent conclusion is that more cutting boards are dearly needed in the kitchen.
A deep and heartfelt thanks to each of you who came, be it for but an evening or the entire event (and then some). The structure of the weekend was a bit of a gamble, as it was light on entertainment, but heavy on opportunity for spontaneous structure to rise and fall in the way games spark into and out of existence on the playgrounds of our childhoods. The implication of this trust placed in guests to make delight is that each of you could steer the spirit of the party, the vibe, any direction you pleased. You took that responsibility and flew with it.
Where space was left for drama, for boredom, for whatever you would make of our shared time together, you spontaneously assembled into musical jam sessions, into scientific colloquia, into heartfelt rhetorical exploration of the intersection between oral hygiene and monogamy. Not to mention the myriad exquisite soups, sweets, and drinks which you threw together in our deeply chaotic kitchen.
Thank you for coming. Thank you for helping. Thank you for enjoying one another and being enjoyed. Thank you for the many gifts of books and beer and silver and so many lovely and useful things. Thank you for the memories. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. and you're welcome ;)
Now, what remains is to plan for the next. I pray you find it within your intention and power to return.
with much love and affection,
Your Host

Suggestions and Complaints
Please notify your host if anything at the event could have gone better, created a problem, or reduced your enjoyment of this space. Were there bottlenecks trying to schedule shower-time? Did you have an issue with doors or locks? Were any ghost, spirits, or apparitions boorish or otherwise poor company?
Your host eagerly awaits your gripes, complaints, and detailed inconveniences.
And Now...
The next event will likely take on the form of a Murder Mystery Dinner Party. Anyone with interest in being appointed to the event's Planning Committee, please notify your host.
Current plans, schemes, and machinations involve converting the game of Clue into a one-shot LARP.
Committee Members will be needed for Budget, Menu, Ambiance, and Game Mechanics.
Thank you.
